A rear extension to a Federation Cottage, comprising kitchen and open-planned living/ dining space on the ground level, with direct connection to the garden.  The upper level contains a master bedroom suite and study capturing fleeting views of the city skyline.  

The new extension is clearly identified as a modern intervention, with materials and colours to complement, but not imitate, the existing.
